The Enneagram is more than a personality test.

And it’s definitely more than “the next big thing.” But maybe you’re here because the Enneagram IS a big thing, and you’ve heard about it pretty recently.

If that’s the case, I’m really excited for you

Because I think the Enneagram is pretty darn cool – and I think you’ll like it a lot, too.

Enneagram coaching is a great introduction to the Enneagram framework.

While the origins of the Enneagram are a bit of a mystery, we know two things are true:

1. It’s been around for a long time, and

2. Its framework has remained consistently relatable and valuable for getting a handle on exactly how we seek to fulfill our needs in the world we live in.

But it can be tricky to get a full, rich experience with the Enneagram if you’re diving in by yourself.

Online Enneagram tests can only scratch the surface – and more often than not, they’re pretty inaccurate. Books, too, can be dense and overwhelming if the language is new to you.

Sometimes, you just need another human to show you the ropes.

As a therapist and experienced Enneagram coach, I can help you fully discover the Enneagram.

The Enneagram framework consists of nine personality types that give us a better understanding of the strategies we use for survival.

Yep – survival

It sounds dramatic, I know. But as human beings, we have needs. And we have beliefs, motivations, and values that combine with our nature to create the habits we’ve adopted over time in order to get those needs met.

So what does that look like? Well, maybe you’re an Enneagram 2, the Befriender, who seeks first and foremost to serve others. Or maybe you’re an 8, the Challenger, and a natural leader. Maybe you identify most closely with one of the other types, instead – each one has its own special combination of traits and motivations.

And that combination works pretty well to get us what we THINK we need…

Until it doesn’t.

That might be where you are now – bumping up against the limitations of these lifelong behaviors and realizing you’d like to learn more about your patterns and habits.

Maybe you’re looking for Enneagram therapy…

Or maybe you just want to dip your toes in first. And that’s exactly why I offer Enneagram consultations. 👇

Enneagram Coaching with Melinda Olsen

Enneagram coaching is an opportunity to learn more about the Enneagram in a structured environment and led by a certified Enneagram coach. (That’s me! 👋)

What do Enneagram coaching sessions look like?

Initial Enneagram coaching consists of 2-3 sessions (though it can certainly go longer!). In our first meeting, we’ll go over the nine Enneagram types and figure out which one most closely matches the way you move through the world.

In subsequent sessions, we’ll do a deeper dive into what that means for you, how your behavior and thought patterns show up in your pursuit of needs fulfillment, and how you engage with the people around you – all according to your Enneagram type.

(Cool, right??)

What’s the difference between Enneagram coaching vs. therapy?

The primary differences between Enneagram coaching vs. therapy are the timeline and overarching goals of our work together.

Enneagram therapy is a therapeutic relationship like any other. We might talk about your past history, your overall mental health journey, trauma, and how to set out on a clear path toward your future goals.

Enneagram coaching, on the other hand, is a much snappier introduction to Enneagram typing and the basic experiences of each identity. We’ll focus solely on the Enneagram and how your newfound understanding of your type can help you navigate your everyday/work life.

With only 2-3 sessions, the Enneagram coaching timeline is much shorter.
