As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#111165), my first and foremost desire is that every person who comes into my office feels seen, heard, and met. Seeking help through therapy takes courage and I strive to honor that courage as I walk with my clients towards wholeness.
As an emerging adult, I get how uncertain and unstable this season of life can be, and I deeply empathize with the anxiety, confusion, loneliness and other emotions that often accompany that instability. As a wife and new mom, I understand how challenging it is to navigate marriage and relationships all in the midst of the uncertainty defines emerging adulthood. Because of these experiences, I’m passionate about working with emerging adults and couples who are often undergoing major life transitions.
Now for specifics:
· I earned a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA,
· Received a Bachelors degree in International Relations and Religious Studies from Scripps College in Claremont, CA.
· I served college students with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Occidental College in Eagle Rock, CA.
· Joyfully worked as an MFT trainee and Associate with the undergraduate population at Vanguard University, a small private university in Costa Mesa, CA.
I specialize in issues around:
Emerging and Young adults
Family and relationships
I also love working with emerging adult and pre-marital couples. To that end, I have special training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, a research-validated approach for couples wanting to improve communication and find deeper connection, and am certified in PREPARE/ENRICH, a tool that helps premarital couples gain a deeper understanding of areas of strength and stress in their relationship.
I believe that it is a sacred privilege to walk alongside my clients in their journeys towards more meaningful lives and relationships.
